IBM Day at JCSU Builds Renewed Partnership
IBM has been no stranger to Johnson C. Smith University. In @@@@ it was the 1st HBCU to launch the IBM Thinkpad University Program. Additionally, for years, IBM engineers would be on "loan" to the university to teach classes and to help build out the IT infrastructure. This IBM event, however, was a homecoming.
Anne Dames, Senior Technical Member at IBM and JCSU Alum, class of 1983, shared her experiences at IBM and how her patents were being used to build crpyto applications at finicanical intuitions. Anne has more than 25 patents and leads the hardware that more than 90% of banks are using for their financial transactions.
Board Trustee, Monroe Miller, a retired executive at IBM, was there to bring greetings and also to share his experience at IBM. Trustee Miller had spend nearly 25 years at IBM and was thrilled about renewing the partnership and engagement with IBM.
